3 Million Dollar Mission

Since it’s late 2018 inception, Indie Creator Society has been able to give free programming via conferences, fireside chats, mentorship and career assistance to creatives. Our marquee event Creator Week taught 500 creatives how to launch their careers and get the market rates they deserve. 40 of them landed a new contract or role in under 6 months, doubling their income. 15 of them launched new companies. 2 has raised capital. While I’m proud of what ICS has been able to do thus far, it’s simply not enough when Black communities are still fighting for equal opportunity. It’s time to turn things up a bit. In 2020 we raised over 50K in cash and creative resources creative entrepreneurs affected by Covid-19. We’ve since moved the goal post and have exceeded 370,000.

By December 2024, our goal is to issue $3,000,000 to Black owned businesses and freelancers.

Indie Creator Fund (501c3) is an equity free grant program. There’s no repayment plan. No hidden terms. No sales revenue requirement. That means for once, there is equal opportunity. This goal is lofty and I cannot do this without you.
